Fashion Feature: Transitional Style

I know we're all itching to wear cute tees, light blouses and our FAVOURITE sandals... But unfortunately the weather has been rather difficult lately. With the strong winds, heavy rain and even the occasional hail or snow flurry. I mean "come on!" its supposed to be spring! Despite that fact, we've experienced days recently that were reminiscent of all four seasons in a single day! How does one dress for that!? I had to giggle to myself the other day when while waiting at the subway station I saw a girl in short-shorts standing beside a girl in a parka!?

So I decided to share with you… My go-to transitional look. Light colourful scarf, wind breaking & water resistant trench coat, ballet flats and ripped jeans - to expose a little bit of skin but not too much so not to get cold - and of course my favourite Dior Beauty products in beautiful, cheerful pink, coral and peach tones to give that fresh, healthy spring glow. I love to wear this look if I'm going to the St. Lawrence Market or popping out for a coffee and doing some running around on the weekends. See below to shop the look! How are you dressing for this weather?

What I’m Wearing: Sam Edelman “Lorissa" Trench, Tahari Loop Scarf, Ted Baker “Brixham" Jeans, Michael Kors “Hamilton" Saffiano Tote and “Fulton" Ballet Flats

Kate Spade “Multi Function Gramercy Grand" watch and Tiffany & Co. Bracelet

Fashion Feature: Crushing (hard) on Gingham

I don’t know about you but I am ready for it to be Spring already! Don’t get me wrong, I like Winter when it’s snowy and beautiful - And you can enjoy outdoor winter activities (immediately followed by hot chocolate and a mountain of mini marshmallows). But these extremely cold days we’ve been having lately (when its even too cold to snow), I find just completely unnecessary and cruel! I’m ready for scarf and toque-free days! Days where I can walk down the street in cute ballet flats or pumps. *SIGH!* So in preparation for the upcoming spring season, I went shopping for a few staples and absolutely fell in love with Polo Ralph Lauren’s gingham fitted button-up shirts! Naturally I bought them in every available colour in my size! Needless to say - I am crushing (hard) on gingham right now and how versatile it can be in a wardrobe; dress it up, dress it down, under a crewneck long sleeve or over a tank! Don’t even get me started on accessorizing! Here’s how I do gingham "casual-chic"… Be sure to stay tuned for more gingham-goodness!

Kate Spade jeans (similar), crewneck sweater (similar), statement necklace (similar) and Polo Ralph Lauren gingham shirt (similar)

Fashion Feature: "Tuck Shop Trading Co." Toques

We are having a very peculiar winter this year… A green Christmas, snow storms one day followed by sunny days the next, bitter cold temperatures and more rain than snow. But I think that we all can agree that toques are the hottest winter accessory this year regardless of the weather! And of all the toques I’ve seen while out and about, the Tuck Shop cashmere toques with fur pom poms have got to be my all-time favourites! Beautifully cable knitted Grade A cashmere and the "oh so soft" recycled fur pom pom, I had to have one! So naturally, I couldn’t resist finding my way up to the Tuck Shop Trading Co.
