Gastronomy & Recipes: Game Day Nachos for the Super Bowl - Gay Lea -   GenerationYYZ - Toronto Blog | Toronto Lifestyle Blog | Toronto Luxury Lifestyle Blog | Lifestyle Blog | Toronto's Luxury Lifestyle Blog | Toronto Blogger | Toronto Lifestyle Blogger | Blogger

With Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner I thought it only appropriate to share my favourite nacho recipe with you! It's super simple to throw together and utilizes mostly fresh ingredients... I'd like to think that they are on the healthier side (as far as nachos go). Trust me these nachos will be a touchdown at your #SB50 party!

Here's What You'll Need...

  • Tostito multigrain nacho chips
  • extra lean ground beef
  • nacho cheese
  • avocado
  • cherry tomatoes
  • package of shredded Tex-Mex cheese
  • green onions
  • Gay Lea Gold Premium Sour Cream
  • cookie sheet

Directions

1. Cook ground beef until browned on medium-high heat. Then remove from heat.

2. Line ungreased cookie sheet with nacho chips.

3. Make nacho cheese on the stove top following the package directions. Then remove from heat.

{It has to be said that this Le Creuset stainless steel whisk is my new favourite kitchen utensil!}

4. Drizzle nacho cheese on top of the chips.

5. Sprinkle ground beef on top.

6. Cut up cherry tomatoes and scatter on top.

7. Top with the Tex-Mex shredded cheese.

8. Turn the oven on broil and pop the cookie sheet in until the cheese melts (approx. 2 minutes). Then remove from oven.

9. Dice avocado and add on top.

10. Scoop the sour cream into a sandwich bag (using it like a pastry piping bag) and apply to nachos.

{ I love how decadent this sour cream is! So thick & tasty! The perfect addition to this nacho recipe! #YUM }

11. Thinly slice green onions and sprinkle on top of nachos.
