Those that know me, know that the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning, is the allure of a warm (and caffeinated) beverage. So when I became lactose-intolerant I made sure to figure out ways to ensure that my morning routine would go unaltered (as much as possible). Whether I'm making coffee, cacao hot chocolate or a latte, I need my milk. Fortunately Gay Lea's lactose-free Lacteeze milk tastes just like regular milk and much to my surprise and excitement, it frothes just like regular milk too! {Morning crisis averted! YAY!}

One of my favourite morning beverages is a matcha green tea latte. It's surprisingly easy, and has many health benefits including being rich in antioxidants. And Gay Lea's Lacteeze milk is an excellent source of calcium and Vitamin D - A great way to start any day!

Here's What You'll Need...

You'll also need:

Directions

1. Boil the kettle.

2. Add the desired amount of matcha green tea powder to the flat bottom bowl. Set aside. (Tip: Sift it using a small mesh strainer for better results.)

3. Add 100ml of boiling water to the bowl with the matcha powder.

4. Whisk for 2 minutes using the bamboo whisk. Then pour mixture into the mug you wish to drink from.

5. Add 150ml of Gay Lea's 2% lactose-free Lacteeze milk to the electric milk frother and froth. Slowly pour frothed milk into the mug with the matcha mixture. Sprinkle with a pinch of matcha powder and add sweetener if desired. Then ENJOY!
